Happy Saturday, everyone!!!

First of all, and probably the most important thing I’ll say throughout this blog post is that I’d like to wish Kristine of WenchdGrafix a very happy birthday today! Wish I was there with her to get a margarita and celebrate her special day!!!

Sorry I’ve been so quiet the past few days… Work has been, well… for lack of a better word, INSANE!!!! My first week on the job as the Perot Theater’s Audience Services Manager just happened to be the opening weekend for the Theater Series we do, and we had 5 shows in one weekend!!!

Then this weekend we had the Ray Price concert… Things should settle down now until Nov. 2nd when we do Sweeney Todd….

I really love my job…. It’s busy, hectic, and demanding, but oh so much fun…

Aight, on to something other than my new job…

To celebrate Kris’s birthday in style, we girls (Diane, Kris, Mojo, Cate and Renee) made a very cool kit for you guys!

Well, well… I must say, I absolutely am loving my new job! I’m most definitely still in training, but I’m getting there… It’s amazing how it feels to get out of the Mom rut and back into the adult world!

I had just dropped the boys off at school, and no more than walked back into the house and made a cup of coffee did I get a phone call.

Matthew’s running a fever and threw up. So, I reloaded Austin into the car again (He’s quite happy, getting to go bye-bye twice in a row!) and went and got him. It boggles my mind… He was fine when we left the house… He even ate donuts and milk before school… (I really feel sorry for the school janitor right now!)

Matt says the sick came for revenge. Here’s hoping that stupid bug goes away and doesn’t come back!!!

So, that’s about the only thing interesting or exciting going on in my life…

Kristine has a new kit in the shoppe - "Enchanted". It’s full of jewel tones and glitter for the princess in your life!

I love it! It just speaks to the "girly girl- glitter loving" part of me! This kit is so much fun to use! :)

Cindy - She might have her hands full with her gorgeous grandchildren, but she’s always one to leave encouragement, praise, and sweetness whenever she stops by! She’s one amazing woman!

Mojo - This lady always is one of my most supportive friends! She always has a positive upbeat attitude! Not to mention, she’s really dangerous with that wand… You have to watch her, or she’ll whomp you with it, and make you design!!!!

Shannon - This list wouldn’t be complete without my Muse! Without her, I don’t know if I’d be designing! She’s the sweetest, most caring lady I’ve ever met! I love her to death!!!

Aight…. I’m off now to take care of my poor Bat-Boo. Little man doesn’t look too good.

I’ve been slacking lately! But, I’m proud of myself…. I did Kim B.’s Color Challenge this month at DSO - which means a freebie for you!

I named it Contemporary Chaos because it’s well, kinda chaotic, but it fits together well with the contemporary colors…. (Make sense? I might have confused even my goofy blonde self with that one!)

It’s finally no longer Hump Day!!! Woohoo!!!

I had an insane day yesterday… Austin and Matthew were both running fevers. Austin’s been teething, so I didn’t think he was sick… Apparently there was something else there too…

Matthew stayed home yesterday - He went to school today, thank goodness…

To make yesterday even more insane, I had an interview. I applied for a job with the Texarkana Regional Arts and Humanities Council (TRAHC). The interview felt good… I was happy. As soon as I know more, I’ll be sure to let you know!

So, let’s see here… Switching gears now from personal life to Scrapbooking stuff!

It’s Wednesday already? Labor Day so totally threw me off! I keep thinking today’s Tuesday - didn’t realize how off I was until both the boys started informing me they needed their sneakers today for P.E.! LOL!

What used to be Hurricane Gustav is still hanging out over my house, just raining as much as he can… He’s been around since Monday evening… I think he’s trying to help me catch up on all the lost sleep I’ve been missing… All I want to do is snooze. The pressure drop he brought with him sure hasn’t helped my sinuses any, either!

So - on to scrapbook-y type things…

This is my son’s beloved Guinea Pig,  Hammy.

Hammy passed away yesterday.

Hunter’s upset about it - he loved his Hammy.

We had his funeral today out at my brother in law’s house. He’s buried in the family pet graveyard.

I miss him squeaking at me for his carrots…

Carrot time came and went tonight without a single peep.

He really was a wonderful pet, who always made me smile.

I miss the little rascal something fierce.

You did good, Hammy.

You loved a little boy who loved you more than anything.

Rest in peace, and enjoy all those after life carrots you earned.

I’ll never forget you.
